Marvel Studios and Paramount Extend Distribution Agreement
Paramount Pictures and Marvel Studios today announced an agreement under which Paramount will distribute Marvel's next five self-produced feature films on a worldwide basis. The deal, an extension of the original agreement made by Brad Grey when he arrived as CEO and Chairman of Paramount Pictures, includes theatrical distribution in foreign territories previously serviced by Marvel through local distribution entities (Japan, Germany, France, Spain and Australia/New Zealand). The distribution pact capitalizes on Marvel and Paramount's successful efforts with Iron Man , which has grossed $574 million worldwide for Marvel.

LaBeouf Injured on Transformers 2 Set?
TMZ reports that Shia LaBouf was injured by a prop on the set of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen . The site says he got a cut below his eyebrow that required stitches. It states, "After getting sewn up, he went right back to work. Injured hand, injured eyebrow -- no problemo."

New Watchmen Footage Screened!
Warner Bros. just unveiled a first look at Watchmen to an eager audience at their studio lot in West Hollywood. Director Zack Snyder joined costume designer Michael Wilkinson and Production Designer Alex McDowell for the event, showing off the first 12 minutes and a few subsequent scenes, totaling nearly a half hour of brand-new footage.

Kenneth Branagh to Direct Thor !
Kenneth Branagh is negotiating to direct Thor for Marvel Studios, reports Variety . The comic book adaptation is scheduled for a June 4, 2010 release.

Sony and DeLuca Pick Up Millar's War Heroes
A week ago, comic book writer Mark Millar, creator of Wanted and Kick-Ass , was talking on his blog about his new Image comic book War Heroes and how it was being circled by various studios ( Original story ). Now Variety confirms that the movie rights for Millar's six issue mini-series War Heroes have indeed been picked up by Sony and producer Michael DeLuca, who teamed quite successfully earlier this year for the blackjack drama 21 .

Five Kick-Ass Set Videos Online
Five videos from the shooting of the Matthew Vaughn-directed Kick-Ass in Toronto have turned up online.
